I love it when people figure out how to feel better. When they master harnessing their emotions, and their lives change and shift in better ways. I get excited when my clients discover that they can fix a problem and it encourages them to continue to work on their self growth. And when they recognize that they have capabilities and strengths that they have been overlooking. Then, they see how they can use their strengths to improve their relationships, they recognize and grow their resilience, and they discover that they can solve their own problems almost all of the time.

am a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist passionate about holistic health. I weave my experience as a teacher, small business owner, published writer, public speaker and holistic health coach into my work. I am a mom to two amazing teenagers and a sweet American Foxhound named Sally.

I am trained in Structural Family Therapy, which means I work from a lens of viewing people and their problems as systemic and inter-relational. It also means that I don't see problems as something internal or flawed within, but rather existing between you and the world around you. I see problems arising when people move between one stage of life and the next, and when the old ways of doing things don't seem to work the same way anymore. For those of you interested in what kinds of therapy I am trained in, you can look to Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Trauma. I also have training and certifications in utilizing nutrition and holistic approaches to treating mental health.

I work with individuals, couples and families. I have advanced training in working with the LGBTQ+ community and consider myself to be an affirming therapist. I am also experienced in working with clients in recovery from substance abuse.

I received my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University, where I graduated with honors. I also have a Masters in Education from New York University and a certification in Holistic Health Counseling from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I attended the State University of New York at Buffalo as an undergrad, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Anthropology with a concentration in Human Genetics.

Through my work I see a world where people are open minded, curious and dedicated to creating healthy relationships.
