Rachel Elstrott

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW, CGP
Last Updated 30+ days ago

I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are survivors of trauma, as well as those struggling with social anxiety and identity confusion. I work from the presumption that you ultimately know what is best for you. We work collaboratively to identify your goals and undermine obstacles such as self-doubt, thought distortions, overwhelming emotions, and challenging or toxic relationships.

In addition to years treating people struggling with trauma and mental illness at Lenox Hill's Outpatient Clinic for Mental Health and Columbia's Day Program in New York, I am trained in various mindfulness techniques, CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-focused therapies, group and individual psychodynamic psychotherapy, and as a yoga & meditation instructor.

Though your struggles may weigh heavily on you now, the process of confronting your personal obstacles can be enjoyable, interactive, and empowering. Call me for a free phone consultation and you can decide if it feels like the right fit for you.
