Purple Phoenix Counseling
My name is Jessie and I have been working with children, teens, and adults in goal-directed, individual therapy for over 10 years. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, and trauma and I have been trained in TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy) and DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy). I utilize many modalities in my treatment but have most experience with mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and goal-directed/solution-focused therapy. I happily incorporate different approaches in my therapy style to best support you.
I enjoy helping individuals change their cognitions to function in a healthier way. I balance listening, understanding, and questioning to help you find your best solution. I utilize education to help the client gain insight about potential changes to improve daily life, relationships, emotional control, and (most importantly): happiness.
I am open to feedback and believe that therapy is client directed. My preference is for continual goal evaluation to measure successes and define challenges. I provide a safe and understanding place for clients to explore and express themselves. I look forward to helping you define and achieve your goals.
