This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
I believe that you deserve to be treated non-judgmentally when asking for help. I use my experience, knowledge & compassion to help patients find a better way to live with a wide range of difficulties (e.g., anxiety, anger, chronic illness, relationship issues). I strive to help each individual learn how to cope more effectively with life's problems by guiding adjustment of beliefs & behaviors. I work to help patients learn ways to more effectively manage how we relate to our own thoughts, emotions, & feelings. Who do you want to be in control of your life: you or feelings & worries?
I do not view individuals as being "broken." Some tools we use to cope do not work & need to be replaced with new, more effective ones. I encourage individuals to improve self-awareness & learn how to consciously direct their own lives, based on their values rather than their feelings, using empirically validated psychotherapy approaches & techniques.
I feel it is not my place to pass moral judgement on you or the problems you discuss. I strive to respectful of my patients & their unique backgrounds, recognizing that people come from many different ethnic, religious or nonreligious, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
