Feeling tired? Struggling to make it through the day? People say help is there but it isn’t so easy to find it. Finding the right therapist for you is easier said than done!

A little about me:
I am experienced working with people struggling with various mental health issues, including but not limited to, depression, anxiety, workplace/school stress, relationship problems, family stress, and multicultural issues. I meet clients where they are and offer a firm but gentle approach.

I have a strong background working with diverse communities of color. I am a 2nd generation Chinese American (colloquially known as an "ABC") born and raised in NYC, fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

I graduated from State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. After pursuing a career in Human Resources and Professional Development in the private sector, I decided to return to school to continue my education in order to help others. I attended and graduated from Columbia University with a Master degree in Social Work. I bring a wealth of lived, professional, and educational experience to her practice.

What to expect:
Sessions are free-flowing with natural back-and-forth between the client and myself. I utilize a blend of various modalities, such as mindfulness, CBT, and DBT. I believe in self-empowerment and the greatest motivator comes from within.

My goal is to foster a warm and safe space for clients to share their joys, fears, successes, and pain. We all need a space to be ourselves without fear of judgment or burden. On the best of days, clients often leave sessions feeling lightened and clear-headed, often with a plan of action or renewed motivation. On the worse of days, clients leave knowing that they are not alone and even if it is only a 2% improvement, it is 2% better than before.

If you are curious about working me, then let's chat and see if we might be a good fit.
