Patricia Sibiga (Sol Health)
Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or drained? Do you feel like no one understands what you have gone through/are going through? Or do you find that you keep your feelings and personal experiences to yourself so you’re not a burden to others? You are not alone. It is not uncommon to feel disconnected and lonely, especially in this day and age. My name is Patricia Sibiga and I am a graduate student at CUNY Hunter studying Mental Health Counseling. My goal is to work together to talk through feelings of dissatisfaction and having a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and heard.
Being vulnerable about your feelings and experiences can feel really scary and hard to do, especially if you have experienced being shut down when trying to in the past. Holding onto difficult feelings on your own can start to feel like a weight on your shoulders that continues to get heavier without an end in sight. Starting therapy can help to release that weight and strengthen your resilience to life’s inevitable encounters.
My ambition as a therapist-in-training is to create a space where you are able to discuss these feelings and experiences without feeling shut down and unheard. You deserve to have a space in your life to discuss these topics in a non-judgmental, uplifting environment! My practice is rooted in psychodynamic, CBT, and mindfulness based approaches with a sprinkle of somatic therapy. With these theoretical approaches, we can work together to learn how current and past experiences are impacting your day-to-day, to practice grounding and mindfulness, and discover healthy cognitive behaviors and coping skills that may help with psychological distress.
Patricia Sibiga is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offers $30 therapy to Gen Zs by connecting them with therapist-in-training accruing clinical hours.
