Hello, I'm Patria Baugh, but you can call me Pat. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges and transitions. I graduated from Cambridge College in Massachusetts in 2004 with a Master's in Education, concentrating on counseling psychology. Before earning my degree, I gained valuable experience as a case manager and substance abuse counselor in Connecticut. My professional journey has also included working with Connecticut courts, consulting with the Department of Children and Families, and providing care in inpatient hospitals, outpatient intensive settings, and private practices in both Connecticut and Georgia.

I am certified in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and specialize in working with individuals dealing with personality disorders, addiction, anger management, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum support, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, grief, life transitions, medical issues, military and veteran support, multicultural and diversity issues, narcissistic personality disorder, OCD, perinatal support, phobias, PTSD, intimate and romantic relationships, spirituality, stress, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviors, trauma, and psychosis or schizophrenia. Additionally, I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions.

My approach to therapy is rooted in understanding and empathy. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings without judgment. I focus on African-American culture, single parenting, Christian therapy, life changes and transitions, cancer diagnosis, and college life, among other areas. My goal is to empower you to find your strengths and develop coping strategies that work for you.

Outside of my professional life, I value the importance of cultural diversity and spirituality, which deeply influence my practice. I am committed to providing personalized care that respects your unique background and experiences.

If you're ready to take the next step in your journey, I'm here to support you. Let's work together to create a path towards healing and growth.
