Palesa A. Osei-Tutu, LCSW, CCTP
Being a human can be hard. We are given tools early in life to navigate this world and sometimes we get it right and other times we struggle for one reason or another. Sometimes milestones and life transitions bring up things you didn't think were issues or remind you of things you may have avoided over the years. We do our best to recover from anxiety, depression, trauma and other stressors on our own but sometimes we need outside support that goes beyond what friends, family and loved ones can provide.
Sit Awhile & Heal is a safe space where you can process thoughts and emotions that impact your daily functioning or a place to work through things from your past and/or present that have impacted you more than you imagined. We want to live by our name. We use evidence based practice and meet people where they are without judgement or expectations of you being anything other than yourself.
So if you are someone that needs some extra support for a bit, or someone that is open to change, ready to do the hard work that comes along with ending generational trauma or someone that is weary from caring for others at the expense of yourself, reach out and come "sit awhile and heal".
