Orit Weksler
I love to learn, probably because I think a lot, all the time. I'm not too big on institutions though, which is why I work for myself and learn from people I talk to, small classes, the internet, concerts and art. I study and teach psychoanalytic theory, other models of the mind such as neuropsychoanalysis, internal family systems, EMDR, attachment theory.
Being a therapist for me means bringing my experience, thoughts and studies to help make sense of problems and difficulties you bring into the room. I have a lot of experience working with students and am aware of the special problems students face: transition to a new environment, stress, immigration, coming to terms with the reality of being an adult, coming to terms with the childhoods we had and their impact.
I am experienced in helping people work through depression, anxiety and loss as well as working with people on the autism spectrum and those who were adopted. I love working with young parents and with those expecting children too.
