Are you having issues in your relationship? Or do you struggle to maintain healthy boundaries with friends or even your family? Do you find it hard to communicate with others about the things that are important to you, like your need for space, how to best communicate with you or what makes you feel happy? If you answered 'yes', it might be time to consider getting some help.
Hello! My name is Omar Ruiz. I am a licensed Marriage & Family therapist & owner of TalkThinkThrive, PLLC (a relationship therapy service dedicated to helping individuals, couples and families with relationship issues). No matter if you're single, currently dating, engaged or married, everyone is susceptible to relationship issues. I help people (including college & graduate students) develop the skills necessary to improve communication, repair trust, and rebuild intimacy. To learn more, visit my website or watch this YouTube clip (https://youtu.be/p4c7RVJsHJA).
Many college & graduate students find themselves at a point in their lives where they are trying to discover who they are, what their role is in this world and what they want for themselves and their future. Part of this journey involves exploring and reflecting on the close relationships you have in your life.
From roommates, classmates, to family and those you want to date, relationships are the key to the meaning of life and happiness. But, when those relationships are hard to manage and cause distress, it's hard to focus on schoolwork when all you can think about is how they and you feel after an argument, disagreement or issue.
If you believe you deserve to have a happier and healthier relationship with those you care about, considering counseling as a way to develop the skills you need to improve your life & most importantly the relationships that mean the most to you.
If you never have done counseling or are a bit worried, reach out to me to set up a FREE 15min phone call consultation. After that, you can decide if setting up an online or in-person initial session is the best thing for you.
Before you reach out, please note that I DO NOT accept insurance as payment for my services. My service is private pay ($200, per 45 minute session). If you have health insurance through your college, parents or work, PPO or POS plans do offer what is called out-of-network benefits where you may be eligible for partial (80%) service payment reimbursement. Unfortunately, if you have a HMO plan, MassHealth, or Medicare, those insurances do not offer reimbursement benefits.
Contact your insurance for more information about how their reimbursement process works.
**Pro Tip - If you have PPO insurance, what they tend to do is request that you pay for services upfront, then collect a receipt of payment (known as a Invoice or 'Superbill') and submit that back to insurance so they can process your reimbursement.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
