Hi, I’m Olivia. I’m a proud Aaniiih and Nakoda woman, born and raised on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation in Montana. I now live in Alaska with my three children, but my culture and community remain at the center of who I am and how I show up in this work.
As an Indigenous therapist, I know firsthand the complexities and pain that come from historical and intergenerational trauma—wounds that often go unspoken but are deeply felt. Many of us have inherited trauma in ways we don’t fully understand. We carry heavy stories in silence, because that’s what we were taught to do. I want to help change that.
I specialize in working with Native individuals and families who are navigating grief, depression, anxiety, domestic violence, and the long-lasting effects of trauma. My clients often come to me feeling lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected—from themselves, their community, or their identity. Together, we work to gently untangle those threads, and begin seeing things through a new, healing lens.
My approach is trauma-informed and culturally grounded. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but therapy with me isn’t just about techniques—it’s about connection. I believe in creating a space where you feel safe, seen, and understood. Where you can speak freely or sit quietly. Where your culture is respected and where your healing is your own.
Many of the people I work with tell me that what makes therapy with me different is that I get it. I understand what it means to carry trauma that isn’t always visible. I understand the challenges of growing up in Native communities and the deep importance of seeing a familiar face—someone who knows the unspoken parts of your story.
Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors with my children and our pets—hunting, fishing, and being on the land. I also love beading and sewing, especially when I’m making regalia for my kids. These parts of my life are sacred to me, and they’re part of my own healing.
If you're looking for someone who honors your culture, understands your pain, and is committed to walking with you toward healing, I would be honored to support you.
