Noah Buchanan
I became a therapist because I have always been drawn to the moments when people are trying to make sense of pain, identity, survival, and what it means to keep becoming themselves. Before entering this field, I had experiences supporting people in crisis and helping them connect with resources, and I realized I did not just wanna help people get through the moment, I wanted to walk alongside them in deeper healing. My work is also shaped by a strong Belief and dignity, authenticity, and liberation. I know how powerful it could be to have someone meet you with curiosity instead of judgment, especially when parts of your story have been misunderstood, minimized, or pathologized. Becoming a therapist felt like a way to create that kind of space where people could feel safe enough to be honest, reclaim their voice, and move towards lives that feel more fully their own.
I want therapy to feel like a space where you do not have to perform, overexplain, or shrink parts of yourself to be understood. I work to build trust through consistency transparency and genuine curiosity about your lived experience. I will listen closely not only to what you say but also to the emotions, patterns and meetings underneath it. Our work together will be collaborative. I will check in with you often, welcome your feedback, and move at a pace that feels supported rather than rushed. My goal is for you to feel respected, not judged, supported, and not managed as well and power to bring your full self into the room as we make sense of what you are carrying and what healing can look like for you.
I build trust by creating a space that feels warm, collaborative, and free of judgment where clients do not have to filter themselves or have everything figured out before they speak. I show up with authenticity, curiosity, and care, and I want our work to feel like a real human relationship not a clinical performance. I often use creativity, reflection, and relatable metaphors to help clients make sense of what they are experiencing in a way that feels meaningful rather than overly clinical. I also believe trust grows when clients feel respected so I move at their pace, check in about what feels helpful, and make sure therapy feels like something we are building together. My hope is that clients feel both deeply supported and gently empowered to explore, heal and move toward a life that feels more like their own.
I love sharing that outside of therapy I’m usually finding joy in something creative or spending time with my dog Frenchie who is a Beagle with plenty of personality. Whether I’m working on a new idea, getting lost in a meaningful story, or laughing at Frenchy’s latest antics, I really value the small moments that bring warmth, playfulness, and connection into everyday life.
