Nisha Chande, MD is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience. She is a graduate of Emory University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences Residency program. There, she immersed herself in psychiatry for four years, accumulating 12,000 hours of clinical experience. Her work spanned inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and consultation liaison services at renowned hospitals such as Emory University, Grady Memorial Hospital, and the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital of Atlanta. During her intern year, she was awarded the Medical Student Teaching Award.
She is currently and has been serving as the psychiatrist for Kennesaw State University for over 14 years. She specializes in depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar spectrum disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, substance use disorders, eating disorders, schizophrenia, and ADHD. She is now expanding her role as a licensed Georgia telepsychiatrist to serve the entire state.
As the initial point of contact for many patients, Dr. Chande prioritizes providing competent and compassionate care with a strong focus on psychoeducation. At the end of each appointment, she asks, “Is there anything else I can answer for you?”
