Counselor
Accepting clients Last Updated 13 days ago

I view therapy as a collaborative process in which I work closely with clients to achieve goals, develop a deeper presence of health and wellbeing, and work through whatever challenges may be present. My approach to therapy is holistic and strength-based, and I believe that every human being has the capacity to grow and heal. I create a safe, supportive environment for my clients to create the changes they desire. In addition to being a licensed counselor, I am also a registered yoga teacher. I enjoy using both traditional western therapy models and eastern mind-body methods with my clients for optimal success.

I have experience in counseling adolescents, teens, adults, couples, and families. I employ a variety of techniques and styles including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, mindfulness and meditation skill building, EMDR, and solution-focused therapy. I believe that counseling should be client-focused, and I tailor therapy sessions for each individual client.

I'm passionate about empowering clients to move past anxiety and into a space of self-trust. I'm an LGBTQIA ally and a feminist. I take into account the role that the culture and systems we live in play in a person's mental health, and I have expertise in working with clients dealing with anxiety, trauma, and those experiencing challenging life transitions.
