Nicole Winckelmann-Palma
Suffering can be a lonely thing, but healing does not have to be done alone. My goal in therapy is to create a safe and trusting environment that nurtures the courage needed to heal and explore what matters most to YOU. My style of therapy is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental. I aim to tailor our sessions to best meet your unique needs and build on your strengths. I believe that therapy should be empowering and even fun, something that you can look forward to! I am excited and honored to be doing this work with you.
Before joining Therapy Today, I volunteered at a refugee center, worked at an elementary school, and traveled to Panama to be an English-Spanish interpreter. I obtained my Master’s of Social Work degree at the University of Nevada, Reno where I interned for an opioid rehabilitation center and an anti-violence organization. As an immigrant to the States and first-generation college graduate, I bring into all of my work a deep appreciation for different cultures and the strength that people show in the face of hardship. I have witnessed over and over again our ability as humans to overcome and lead happy lives, and I remain passionate about helping others in their journey to reach their fullest potential.
