Nicole Swartz

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW, CAP
Last Updated 30+ days ago

My therapeutic approach is a casual one. I strive to make therapy something that feels comfortable for a client, more like a conversation with a friend than something clinical. My focus during sessions is always client-centered, as only the client can know what they need to get out of our time together and thus what they need to put in. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression and relationship issues but have experience in much more as well. I have a background in addiction counseling which has provided the foundation of skills necessary to be a truly empathetic, effective healer.

Beyond being client-centered, I lean into CBT and other cognitive therapies. I believe that our thoughts shape our feelings, which change our behaviors, which can affect our relationships and cause unwanted negative consequences. When we can change the way we think, we can change anything else.

My greatest joy in being a therapist is building rapport and relationships with my clients. Having someone tell me how much they were looking forward to their session because they knew how much better they would feel afterwards is the pinnacle for me. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing what we can accomplish together.
