This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
Dr. Bennett is a Licensed Psychologist who takes an integrative, client-centered approach to psychotherapy. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Clinical Hypnotherapy, Mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dr. Bennett customizes each treatment plan to suit the unique needs of the individual, rather than relying on a standardized model. His therapeutic philosophy emphasizes flexibility and the importance of tailoring interventions to foster meaningful and lasting change.
He has extensive experience working with clients across the lifespan—from pre-teens to older adults—addressing concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, specific phobias, and life transitions. His clinical background includes working within multidisciplinary teams supporting children and parents in Child Protective Services (CPS) cases, as well as treating clients in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Dr. Bennett also has substantial experience supporting sexual assault survivors and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
As a Veteran of the U.S. Army and Army National Guard with two combat deployments, Dr. Bennett possesses a deep understanding of military culture. He has worked extensively with service members and their families, integrating this cultural awareness into his therapeutic practice.
In his work with couples, Dr. Bennett draws upon the Gottman Method and emotionally focused, attachment-based frameworks to help partners understand and shift rigid interaction patterns that lead to distress. He is also experienced in group therapy settings, facilitating support groups for LGBTQ+ individuals, survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence offender rehabilitation, and anger management.
Beyond therapy, Dr. Bennett provides psychological evaluations in a variety of contexts, including merit evaluations for sexual abuse lawsuits, assessments for social security disability claimants, and pre-surgical assessments for individuals seeking gender affirmation procedures.
Dr. Bennett earned his Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) from California Southern University, where he defended a dissertation exploring the relationship between toxic masculinity and sexual violence perpetration. He completed his post-doctoral training at Russian River Counselors in Monte Rio, California, and Parkhurst Associates Mental Health Services in Washington, D.C.
