The students I work best with are often the ones who look like they are doing fine. You are getting the work done and showing up, but you are tired in a way sleep does not fix, and there is a low hum of dread that never fully goes away.

Many of them were the ones who always did well before, so struggling feels like admitting something. What comes up most: anxiety that was manageable at home and is not manageable here, being far from family and not wanting to worry them, a relationship taking up more room than your classes, and family things that did not stay behind when you left.

I am licensed in eleven states, so if you are at school in one and your family is in another, we can usually keep going over the breaks instead of starting over.

You do not need a diagnosis to come in.
