AS A PART OF THE NEUROGENESIS CENTER OF FLORIDA'S TEAM, I PRACTICE USING RESEARCH BASED, NON-PHARMACOLOGICAL TREATMENTS, SUPPORTING A VARIETY OF MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS AS WELL AS PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individuals can struggle with extreme pressures related to work stress, interpersonal relationships, family responsibilities, complicated family dynamics, financial accountability, extracurricular activities, career decisions, job placement, competition, independence, and other issues that significantly impact many if not all areas of functioning. Individual therapy helps people of all ages successfully navigate through transitions as well as effectively manage the intimidating and overwhelming responsibilities of youth and adulthood.
NEUROFEEDBACK BIOFEEDBACK
Neurofeedback is a computer aided training technique that makes an individual’s brain activity, usually imperceptible, perceptible in real-time using visual and auditory feedback. With constant, real-time feedback, the individual makes adaptive and deliberate changes to his or her own brain activity. Similarly, Biofeedback is a technology aided training technique that enables an individual to learn how to change the physical symptoms of stress, chronic pain, insomnia, migraines, POTS Syndrome, and anxiety to improve health and performance.
EQUINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY
EAP uses the horse(s) as a tool within a psychotherapy session, and all therapeutic activities are completed on the ground. Since horses are masters of nonverbal communication, they detect our nuanced emotions and behaviors. Horses do not judge, hold grudges, and are always honest in any given moment. These natural instincts make horses ideal in providing a true reflection of ourselves.
