I help adults and adolescents facing depression, grief, anxiety, and challenges with separations and major life transitions. My background in social work with those who have a history of psychosis has given me deep respect for people’s experiences of marginalization and stigma, which sometimes result from seeking help.
Therapy is a place for those parts of our lives that don’t otherwise have a place. It is a place for what we cannot otherwise say or fully feel—where the confusing, conflictual, the overwhelming, and the intolerable can be without having to make sense. Bringing these parts of ourselves into dialogue can lead to understanding and change.
It’s my hope that speaking as freely as possible in a dialogue based on safety and respect will help you explore and bear unacknowledged emotions and desires, connect present difficulties to broader themes and patterns, and gain new perspectives that yield more context and complexity.
