I strive to be a supportive therapeutic partner who provides a safe compassionate environment for students who want to develop a better understanding of themselves. I believe that students are better able to explore aspects of their lives that may be difficult or painful when they feel heard and validated. My approach is based on integrating a collaborative, strengths-based psychodynamic focus with behavioral treatment models and an understanding of where students fit into their family systems. This enables students to gain insights and examine opportunities for self-compassion, understanding, acceptance, growth, and change.
I can provide support with anxiety, social anxiety, relationship issues, perfectionism, and a variety of other issues students experience. I have advanced training in Bowen Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Yoga. My style is compassionate and collaborative.
