Nadiuska "Nadia" Vasquez
“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but building the new.”-Socrates
I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) clinical social worker with 15 years experience of working with adults and adolescents. I believe therapy is a tool used to help guide people in achieving the life goals they set for themselves. Whether you have a teenager experiencing depression or anxiety; is conflicted about identity, or are an adult feeling stuck, having relationship conflicts, employment stress or grief/loss; I will work with you to learn skills to manage life’s challenges while identifying past experiences that may be driving the decisions you make today.
Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to address the challenges of life, learn how to manage and cope with psychological distress, while gaining the skills to live a happier more fulfilling life. As your therapist I will provide a safe, non-judgmental, supportive, and warm environment to foster your unique strengths.
I am trained in various evidenced based modalities including CBT, Trauma Focused-CBT for adolescents, Problem-Solving Therapy, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depressed Adolescents (IPT-A). I tailor our sessions based on your specific needs and drawing from my extensive work in the mental health field. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to explore whether we would be a good fit.
