Nadia Lyall
As a licensed mental health counselor, I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and attachment issues for people of all backgrounds, with a particular focus on women and LGBTQ+ individuals. I’m here to help you navigate identity, life transitions, grief, relationship challenges, uncertainty, and self-doubt while reconnecting with your strengths and creating meaningful change.
My hope is to be a steady, affirming presence who will support and challenge you with compassion as you work toward your goals, because I believe meaningful change begins in the safety of a trusting therapeutic relationship. Together, we can deepen your understanding of yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move through life with greater confidence and ease.
Psychodynamic work and Mindfulness ground my approach, which is relational, curious, and culturally attuned. I'm passionate about exploring how our experiences shape who we are, and I blend these approaches with evidence-based interventions to support you in creating lasting, meaningful change through insight, connection, self-compassion, and action.
In our sessions, you'll find an affirming and compassionate space where all parts of you are welcome. My style is warm, collaborative, and gently challenging, and I tailor our work to your unique experiences, values, and goals.
My path to becoming a therapist began long before graduate school. As a child, I often found myself at the center of playground drama, wondering, "How did I get here?" and "Why is everyone acting the way they are?"
That early curiosity about people, relationships, and the stories behind our behaviors stayed with me throughout my life, growing into a deep commitment to providing empathetic, affirming, and culturally responsive care. Now, I value bringing warmth, curiosity, and authenticity to each session, creating a space where patients can better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that shape their lives.
I have loads of hobbies! I love everything from collaging and oil painting to singing at karaoke and running.
