Hi! I am Monica!
I work with students who often feel like their emotions are “too much” or hard to manage. Many of the students I support live with bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, ADHD, or autism that was diagnosed later in life. Others come to me because they’re coping with self-harm, thoughts of suicide, or feeling stuck in painful patterns.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help students build skills for emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and coping with distress in safer ways. DBT is practical and hands-on—we focus on tools you can actually use day-to-day when things feel overwhelming.
Students who find my approach helpful are usually looking for someone who understands the intensity of their experiences and won’t minimize their struggles. Together, we work on creating balance: holding space for the pain while also building a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
