Hello, I'm Michelle Maddalozzo. As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Chicago and a Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, I have dedicated over ten years to helping individuals navigate the complexities of mood disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma. My practice spans across VA, IL, AK, and NC, where I work with both adults and adolescents in individual therapy settings.
My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in evidence-based practices, incorporating a variety of treatment modalities such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I also integrate psychodynamic psychology and strength-based/problem-solving approaches to create a highly personalized therapeutic experience tailored to each client's unique needs.
Specializing in military mental health, I have extensive experience working with clients who have faced traumatic stress, including domestic violence, sexual assault, childhood abuse, medical trauma, and combat-related incidents. Additionally, I support individuals through life transitions, such as becoming a parent, starting college, or embarking on a new career.
I believe in the power of body-oriented techniques to help clients manage their challenges and recognize their full potential. By providing compassionate support and practical feedback, I aim to teach clients how to build on their strengths and achieve personal growth. My goal is to help you celebrate your joys and meet your life goals, no matter how tough the challenges may seem.
If you're ready to take the next step towards personal growth and healing, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to navigate life's challenges and uncover your full potential.
