Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Thank you for considering me in what can be a very daunting process: finding the right therapist. I have over 20 years of experience providing therapeutic services in Florida, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. and am a proud University of Florida graduate. I’ve worked and/or volunteered in almost every mental health setting imaginable, allowing me to meet you at every level of care - from seeking counseling for personal growth, stress, relationships, anxiety/mood to those facing crisis and trauma.

I believe that every individual has the power to improve their quality of life, even when presented with the most perplexing set of challenges. To do this effectively I believe in creating a strong therapeutic relationship grounded in warmth, honesty/transparency and being "human" in our interactions. While you may look to me as the "expert" in counseling, YOU are truly the expert of your own life (even if you don't realize it yet).

There is no “one size fits all” model of therapy in my office. To respect your individuality I customize my approach as I get to know who you are and what you hope to gain. Then, by balancing support with challenge, we create a "toolbox" of sorts to allow you cope with life's challenges and to return to your optimal level of wellness.
