Dr. Shoemaker is licensed and has
over 20 years of experience in the
field of mental health. She holds a
Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology,
specializing in pharmacology and
higher education. Dr. Shoemaker
also has an extensive background
in the areas of Individual Adult
Psychotherapy, Depression and
Anxiety, Marital and Relationship
issues, Substance Abuse, Men’s
and Women’s Health issues, Stress
Management, and Career
Counseling. Dr. Shoemaker has
also been a professor at several
local colleges and universities and
is a full-time professor at Broward
College. She teaches general
psychology, counseling/therapy,
abnormal psychology, marriage and
family, and human sexuality.
