Finding a therapist can be hard and intimidating; even starting a search can involve marshaling real courage. However, in searching for a therapist, I believe reaching out for help is also an act of hope, an acknowledgment that change is possible. What would therapy be like with me? I take a compassionate, holistic, and empathetic approach to counseling. When the time is right, I integrate humor as a way of finding levity even in life’s hardest moments.
My aim is to emphasize solutions and strengths as you navigate what brought you to therapy. I utilize a number of therapeutic intervention to help you meet your goals. Some of these include acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and compassion and mindfulness interventions.
I am a Licensed Social Worker, in the process of becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my social work degree from Rutgers University School of Social Work. I am certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
