Megan Heniff (she, her) is a couples and family therapist, who specializes in working with children, adolescents, couples, and families. As a modern practicing therapist, Megan takes a systemic approach when working with clientele who struggle with anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, ADHD/ADD, and interpersonal problems. Her professional experiences range from working in community mental health, residential housing, and private and public-school settings.
Megan received her bachelor's degree in Family and Individual Development at Northern Illinois University in Dekalb and completed her master's degree in Couple's and Family Therapy at Adler University in Chicago. She is certified in Positive Discipline Parenting approach and PREPARE/ENRICH premarital counseling.
Megan is an affirming therapist, while also supporting her clients to explore and bring awareness on how they can help themselves and communicate their needs to others. Her therapeutic approaches include CBT, ACT, Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Couples therapy, Psychodynamic, and Family Systems.
