My goal as a counselor is to help you feel comfortable to face life's challenges, no matter the circumstances. Therapy can feel like a leap of faith, and I'm here to help create safety. Through this process, you can search for your truest self and honest desires without ever feeling like you're alone. For better or for worse, we live within our own world where we are the center and the focus. Therapy can be difficult. I also believe it can be connective, creative, insightful, and foster immense healing. And the hardest part can be reaching out.
My approach is emotion focused, attachment based, and incorporates the rewriting of our own stories. This means that I am always guiding our lens in therapy to fit your needs in the process, while encouraging emotional exploration surrounding the narratives that dominate our lives. Therapy can feel like storytelling where you finally hold the pen.
I work primarily with teenagers and college aded adults. My expertise includes treatment of eating disorders, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions. I welcome all people into my space regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity and ability. If you think we may be a good fit, please reach out. I'd be happy to talk.
