Do you struggle with anxiety or unwinding most days? Do you feel like your nervous system is on overdrive much of the time, creating sleep problems, an inability to 'relax', or 'not do'? Is this starting to, or has it been, interfering with your physical health, your relationships, your work or school? Do you think you have long standing, or more recent difficult or traumatic life events that seem to occupy too much head space? If so, I invite you to reach out to me. I can help you move through these challenges, so you and your body can unwind these stuck patterns and feel a sense of thriving, not just surviving, in the world.
I am both a psychotherapist, with a MSW (Master of Social Work degree) and 20 years of experience, and an energetic bodyworker with 660 clock hours of training in Polarity Therapy. I am a graduate of Bates College (1996) and Smith College School for Social Work (2002). I am also an Access Bars Practitioner, and completed my CS1 certification in Craniosacral Therapy in September of 2022. My specialty is my blended approach to mental health care.
I enjoy bringing out of the box thinking and a holistic view to my psychotherapy work, and also blend my psychotherapy skills with bodywork practice and energy work to deepen the work, if you so desire. If you would like a different approach to talk therapy, your emotional and physical concerns and how they can be supported, I'd love to work with you.
