This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
My goal is to create a safe, relaxed, and fun environment to partner with clients on their life journeys, explore new goals, and cope with difficult life situations. Through my schooling and career, I have been able to work with clients from a variety of backgrounds and ages, so I enjoy working with a mix of young children, adolescents and adults struggling with a wide range of issues. For the past several years, I have worked primarily with adolescents and their families struggling with behavioral and mental health issues.
When working with couples, I use emotion focused therapy, an empirically validated approach with one of the highest success rates in couples counseling. I also offer co-therapy for couples, where I partner with my wife Mollie Sweetser (LPC), to provide couples counseling along with separate individual sessions as needed.
When working with children, I believe the family has an important role to play and I empower families to help their children be successful. I utilize Child Parent Relationship Training, where I help parents develop a closer relationship with their children in order to address emotional and behavioral issues.
