Welcome, I’m Matthew, and I'm here to guide you on a transformative journey towards a more authentic, fulfilling, and purposeful life. As you embark on this exciting new chapter, I want you to know that I'll meet you right where you are, and that I’ll be on your team.

It's incredibly important to me that everyone feels welcomed and valued, regardless of their orientation, race, background, or identity. I specialize in supporting individuals who are navigating neurodiversity and Autism, healing from the complexities of trauma, seeking support and recovery from eating disorders, and anyone who wants to embrace the potential of a major life transition. I’m also well versed in depression and anxiety; I have your back for that, too!

When it comes to therapy, I have an open-minded, understanding, empathetic, and honest approach. I firmly believe in collaborating with my clients and working together to set realistic goals that feel manageable and empowering. While I'm all about providing practical and helpful support, I also think humor has a special place in the therapeutic process. It's a powerful tool that can bring lightness and healing.

To make sure I custom tailor my approach to your unique needs, I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Person Centered, Somatic Healing & Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and Transactional Analysis.

About me: My wife and I moved to Atlanta from Michigan in 2009, and we currently live in EAV with our dog, Helmet. When I’m not “therapizing,” you can find me looking at street art, pretending to be a chef, and seeking a deeper spiritual connection.

Matthew sees adults and teens, individuals and couples. His rate is $180 per session, with some sliding scale spaces available in an effort to remove financial barriers to treatment. Align Wellness's sliding scale spots are prioritized for trans and BIPOC clients. Matthew is in network with Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Humana, Ambetter, and Multiplan, and can provide documentation for out of network insurance reimbursement for all other plans.
