Matthew Kizaur, MA, LPC, MEd, LPSC
Thich Nhat Hanh said, "The present moment contains past and future. The secret to transformation is in the way we handle this very moment." I believe the best, most immediate, steps on the path to health and wellness for the mind, body, and spirit begin with the present journey inward. By better understanding and honoring ourselves, we can live more genuine, self-actualized lives. In finding compassion for ourselves, we can manifest greater compassion for others through the choices we make and how we communicate. Our greatest ally in having a rich and fulfilling life is found within. This is the essence of my clinical work with you.
For over 20 years, I have worked in Health and Human Services as an educator, advocate, coach, and counselor. Humbly, my breadth and depth of personal/professional experience, and my creative approaches to clinical counseling, coaching, and consulting, support my most fundamental endeavor: to engender empathetic, nonjudgmental, safe therapeutic alliances.
The path inward may be frightful or uncertain. At times, our own minds create twisted trails and block passages to healing mentally, emotionally, and physically. Allow me to help you on your journey and counsel you in becoming your own greatest pathfinder. All are honored, welcome, and respected. I look forward to talking with you.
