Hello, I'm Martha, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in helping individuals navigate through life's challenges. My journey in mental health has allowed me to work with a diverse range of clients, including military members and their families, a population that holds a special place in my heart due to their unique culture and challenges. This work has been incredibly rewarding and has deepened my understanding of resilience and strength in the face of adversity.
I specialize in addressing issues such as anger management, anxiety, depression, family relationships, grief and bereavement, life transitions, OCD, intimate and romantic relationships, sleep disorders, and stress. I also offer support through SonderMind Video Telehealth, making it easier for you to access care from the comfort of your own space.
My approach to therapy is straightforward and direct. I believe that making even small changes can lead to significant improvements in your life. I work best with individuals who are committed to making these changes and are open to trying new ways of thinking and behaving. My goal is to provide concise and actionable guidance that helps you break free from unhelpful patterns.
As someone who has experienced single parenting and the profound loss of a loved one, I bring a wealth of personal experience to my practice. Now, as a grandmother, I draw upon these life experiences to connect with my clients on a deeper level. I am continually inspired by the honesty and resilience of those I work with, and I am honored to be part of their journey toward healing and growth.
Please note that I am currently available to work with individuals only and will not be accepting couples at this time. If you're ready to take the first step towards a more fulfilling life, I look forward to working with you.
