I am a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist. My treatment approach is to provide support and appropriate feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. I incorporate a blend of conventional and alternatives approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.

I have had the privilege of working as a therapist for 17 years now, helping children, adolescents, adults, and families navigate through challenging times in their lives. Whether you are a divorced person adjusting to a new phase in your life, a concerned parent, a college student finding your way, or a frightened child learning to live without your deceased loved one, seeking therapy can be a first step in your healing process. Maybe you have decided to embark on a journey of self- discovery. I have witnessed the birth of limitless possibilities within my clients many times over.

The challenge of a psychotherapist is to resonate with the patient’s uniqueness and at the same time understand how the universality of the human condition presents itself in the person’s concerns. All persons looking for help in their emotional and psychic realms deserve to be treated with patience, compassion, and honesty. The style in treatment is caring yet direct. The belief is that therapists should partner with patients in bringing about change and healing. The involvement of the two—the purposeful exchange of energy between patient and therapist is the catalyst for a corrective emotional experience.

I love my work and feel so fortunate to have a job that's always interesting. I am continually amazed at the complexity of human behaviors and emotions, and how the counseling process can help clients discover so many hidden strengths.
