Hello! I have worked at UNR Counseling Services over the last six years, and am shifting to join the team at Health Psychology Associates in the community. It is a joy to work with students, and I can't wait to provide on-going therapy for students off-campus. In our work together you can expect transparency, kindness, and collaboration. Your well-being matters and I am very excited to work with you towards your therapy goals. I have extensive experience working with students of diverse backgrounds, and have provided expertise and support navigating many concerns, such as managing ADHD symptoms, improving mood (anxiety/low mood), body image, self-esteem, traumatic events, and acculturation concerns. My training includes the following certifications: 1. Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) and ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP). I am happy to provide a free 15-minute consultation with you before you book a session with me. Call or text ‪(775) 453-6721‬ or email mariamhalsteadlcsw@proton.me. Take care :)
