Alchemy Healing and Counseling: Maria Gliemann

Originally from New York, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting students in their mental health and well-being. With a Master of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University, I specialize in trauma-informed care and am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help students overcome trauma, anxiety, and limiting beliefs.

My therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and holistic and spiritual practices. I believe in meeting students where they are, honoring their unique journey, and integrating mindfulness, energy work, and spiritual healing when relevant to their growth.

I also specialize in adoption-related challenges, particularly transracial adoption, helping students explore identity, belonging, and emotional well-being as they navigate the complexities of these experiences.
