Marci Saltzman Psychotherapy, LLC
My goal is to help you become the best version of yourself and assist you in achieving goals that are important to you. I provide a safe and non-judgmental space to discuss things that may be difficult to verbalize. I work with clients 14 and up as well as couples, who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, gender identity, life transitions, relationship and family issues. I love working with emerging adults who need help navigating school, career, family, etc.
I use an eclectic approach rooted in a variety of evidenced based practices. If you are open and willing to work hard, so am I. I work best with clients looking for feedback and who enjoy being compassionately challenged.
I am intensively trained in DBT through the Linehan Institute. Additionally, I combine techniques from Motivational Interviewing, CBT and Solution Focused Therapy. I also see couples using the Gottman method and Prepare/Enrich (for pre-marital/pre-commitment counseling). I am LGBTQ+ allied and able to provide gender affirming surgery evaluations and letters.
I have found that using an individualized approach with clients leads to the best outcome. I use a conversational approach and provide a warm and empathetic environment. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is of the utmost importance. Ultimately, I will help you learn the skills and understanding of self necessary to make desired changes in life.
