Provider Types

This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:

  • Clinical Social Work/Therapists

I am passionate about working with college-aged clients to address issues such as adjustment difficulty, emotional regulation, self-esteem issues, cultural conflict, stress management, and life transitions. As an Asian therapist practicing in the U.S., I have extensive experience working with different generations of immigrants, multicultural individuals, and others in marginalized communities. Moreover, as a person who came through the path of being an international student separating from my family and studying abroad alone, I know what my international student clients are experiencing and where they come from, and that usually strengthen my therapeutic alliance with my clients. I also have the knowledge that it is hard to find support from a Mandarin-speaking Asian therapist, and that is reason why I am introducing myself here as one of the referral resource you may be looking for. I aim to bring mental health services to underserved communities in a linguistically appropriate and culturally sensitive manner. With my friendly and humble personality, I establish a compassionate, comfortable and safe space for my client to be where they are.

I provide both Mandarin and English counseling service to my client based on their preference. I love help my client explore themselves via the conversation happening in the room, and I also love teaching them skills for them to utilize in their daily life to be the better themselves. I am a big fan of EMDR and I am using it to help my client to address either their trauma or any other difficult memories or emotions. I usually can see a powerful and magical change happening on my client, which make me eager to help more people to be empowered by this modality!

I always tell my client that therapy is like a road trip. I will be sitting in the passenger seat to guide and support the driver, YOU, to confront with any challenge along this way, but you are one who is driving this car in the whole trip of your life. You are the expert of yourself, and I trust you 100% in this healing process. Now, let me be your passenger!
