Maggie Furniss
I help people by offering a holistic viewpoint with practical results.
My goal is to provide a safe, confidential, compassionate, and productive environment where all of your emotions are welcome and all of your stories hold a deep meaning.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Certified Coach with several years of experience counseling young adults and adults.
MY COUNSELING APPROACH IS:
Relational: I engage in a collaborative process with you. I sit with you, listen, and offer feedback and a perspective that sometimes may be different from yours. My office is a safe space for you.
Creative and Flexible: I use a wide range of counseling and coaching techniques and adjust them to meet your needs. Props and art supplies and techniques from a range of expressive arts therapies can help you reach new depths in the therapeutic process.
Result-Oriented: I will actively work with you to design interventions, exercises, and thoughtful action steps if that’s what you’re looking for as part of your therapy process. Together we look for new solutions and create forward movement.
