We are a psychotherapy group practice in Rye, New York. Our mission is to help people live their best lives.
We do this by offering evidence-based psychotherapy and psycho-educational services for people to learn and practice strategies that promote resilience and persistence so they can live more embodied, joyful and purposeful lives in the face of life’s challenges.
One of our specialties is working with emerging adults.
Emerging adulthood is a more self-focused time of identity exploration, with the young person poised on the cusp of opportunity, attempting to actively create the future ahead while also feeling the inherent instability of the fledging process of as well. Navigating the demands of life before and after college, finding an alternative path to college, and transitioning to a new career and new relationships is challenging. It can feel overwhelming. You do not have to do this alone. We offer a variety of solutions that assist in the following ways:
*Exploring identity development in a safe and confidential setting
*Learning to negotiate conflicts with peers and adults
*Increasing self-regulation
*Exploring role transitions within the family l Becoming more independent from family
*Creating more intimate friendships and relationships with peers
* Consolidating identity and self-regulation
*Developing greater organization and time management skills
*Making healthier lifestyle choices
*Learning to be assertive
*Establishing oneself as a capable and valued person within society

In a given year, over 40% of U.S. 18 to 29 year-olds meet the criteria for a psychiatric disorder, a higher rate than for any other adult age group. The most common disorders are anxiety (22.3%), substance use (22.0%), and mood disorder (22.0%).
