Lydia Greenberg
Many of us feel like we are always fighting ourselves. We feel anger, impatience, or sadness when the rational and insightful parts of us don't make us feel better. This discontent often manifests physically; we're exhausted, feel a pit in our stomach, tightness in our chest. We want to be present in our relationships, have energy to do the things we love, and feel at peace with ourselves.
In therapy, I'll help you explore the early relationships that have shaped the way you relate to your loved ones. I'll guide you through sitting with discomfort instead of pushing it down and away. I'll work with you to cultivate curiosity about the parts of yourself you don't like very much.
You may be navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, or conflict with your partner. I will take a warm, direct, and affirming approach to our work together. I draw from different therapeutic approaches, including relational psychotherapy, mindfulness practice, trauma-informed care, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I see primarily adults and couples in person at our Lakeview office.
