Hello, I'm Lucia, a licensed independent clinical social worker and psychotherapist. I specialize in working with individuals aged 18 and up, including college students, working professionals, and adults navigating loss, grief, life transitions, relationship issues, anxiety, stress, depression, and the intersection of personal finance and mental health. As a bilingual and bicultural English/Spanish-speaking clinician, I am dedicated to providing affirming care for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and LGBTQIA+ communities.
My therapeutic approach is trauma-sensitive, culturally sensitive, strength-based, and person-centered, focusing on holistic treatment modalities to help you achieve your goals. I believe in partnering with you to create a custom and individualized treatment plan. To do this, I use an integrative therapeutic approach that includes mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and ecotherapy.
I earned my undergraduate degree in political science from Wellesley College and completed my master's degree in clinical social work at Boston College. My training includes extensive work in end-of-life care and trauma at the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System and Boston Public Schools. Additionally, I have advanced training in CBT, trauma work, and loss, bereavement, and grief counseling.
In our sessions, you can expect a supportive, collaborative, warm, and compassionate environment. I am here to support you through your journey and help you navigate the challenges you face.
Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my daughter and husband. We enjoy nature walks and playground visitsâanything that helps tire out a young child!
If you're ready to take the next step towards achieving your goals, I look forward to partnering with you on this journey.
