Dr. Kallen is board certified in Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Maryland. He then completed an internship in Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins Hospital, residencies in Pediatrics and Psychiatry at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Oakland, California and a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Langley Porter Institute, University of California, in San Francisco.

Dr. Kallen spent 20 years in the Navy retiring as a Navy Captain. He was then Chairman of Psychiatry at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London, CT for 10 years before returning to Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. He returned to Connecticut for family reasons and is currently the psychiatrist at ReGeneration Therapy and Counseling.

Dr. Kallen provides psychiatric assessment and medication treatment to children, adolescents and adults experiencing a range of disorders including:
