If you are experiencing a wrinkle in your life - what used to work isn't working for you, or you no longer are feeling like you used to, it may be time to look at what is getting in the way. My passion is working with college, graduate students and young professionals. So much happens during this time as we explore who we are, where we are going, what we are going to do, what we want and how we want to move forward. Whether you are struggling with your self-esteem, a relationship with friends or family members, are feeling more stressed or less happy, these are things I can help you with. Together we will figure out what might be triggering this and how you can develop the skills necessary to find inner peace and strength to become a better version of yourself.
I often use the analogy of a hollow chocolate bunny - the kind we find on the shelves around the holidays. They look "perfect" on the outside and people think they are delicious and yummy and all put together, but as soon as we take a bite they break and we find out that they are hollow inside. Our job within the therapeutic relationship is to figure out how we can fill the chocolate bunny and make the bunny more solid.
I look at how our early experiences affect our current relationships and situations and then work on developing the awareness and then skills to "do it differently."
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
