College is an exciting time, but sometimes you need a bit of support.
You left home thinking life would be different, but now you realize that all of the baggage you thought you were leaving behind just followed you to school. And no matter how hard you try to hide it, it's starting to interfere with friends, sleep, studying, and just having fun.
I have two passions. I love helping students learn skills to deal with a history of trauma and abuse with a treatment called EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I also love helping trans folx who are either in the early stages of coming out or are questioning why life is so difficult in their body. This is new territory and I can help you develop a roadmap for your journey.
I help students go from merely existing to thriving. You don't have to live with the sense of being on the edge 24/7, hiding who you are, or always apologizing for over-the-top emotional outbursts. I want to help you feel comfortable in your skin, your body.
I work best with people who come to session ready to examine those behaviors that no longer work and are willing to try something different. We can take baby steps, but the goal is giving you tools to put that traumatic past behind you or help you figure out what living authentically looks and feels like.
I want you to have a life where you are in control.
I offer in-person sessions in Rochester, NH, and I offer virtual sessions in Massachusetts (MA) and Maine (ME).
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
