Lisa Bastos, LMHC
As a Licensed Mental Health Clinician with over 16 years of experience, I help individuals identify and navigate through college stressors by exploring thought patterns and cycles that may be contributing to challenges with coping and managing emotions and symptoms. I use a strengths-based, CBT- and Motivational Interviewing-focused therapeutic approach. Some of my areas of focus include: anxiety, depression, parenting/life stressors, career ambivalence, relationship issues, self-esteem, cultural factors, college stressors, and transition. Is navigating through a life transition or relationship issue bringing up stress, anxiety, insecurities, or impacting your motivation? Is a new obstacle making school challenging? Are cultural expectations affecting your daily functioning, career goals, or desires? By understanding how these triggers can impact symptoms, we can break negative cycles and empower positive change.
