Do you struggle with anxiety? Is your anxiety related to major life transitions, social situations, past trauma, academics, ADHD diagnosis-or hidden diagnosis, relationships or career decisions? I can help.

My name is Leslie Sommer and I am a licensed social worker who specializes in working with young adults and college students who suffer from anxiety and ADHD. My style is warm and directive. I use a strengths-based approach drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to help my clients manage and overcome their anxiety.

I offer a safe and supportive virtual environment for people to learn about anxiety. I use a values based approach to teach coping skills, emotional regulation, assertiveness training and job search skills. In addition I assist my clients with ADHD and anxiety assessments and give resources for medication referrals and management.

I have many years of personal and professional experience working with and through anxiety. My goal is to help you tackle the tough job of balancing the fine line between helpful and unhelpful anxiety, which can often leave you feeling overwhelmed, unmotivated and burnt out. If you can relate, reach out and see if we might be a good fit.
