Leo Harzman
From my perspective, the best work is done when you feel comfortable with and known by your therapist. Everyone’s situation is different, and I believe that context matters and is important to understanding ourselves and others. Gaining insight into the intertwining context of our lives can help us better understand our concerns and how to move forward. I take a collaborative and individualized approach to work with clients to address each person’s own context. I utilize a humanistic, person-centered approach, often pulling from feminist and interpersonal perspectives to better understand client concerns.
I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ concerns such as sexuality, gender, and attractionality exploration, understanding, transition, and acceptance. I enjoy helping clients work through life transitions, family of origin problems, and general identity concerns. I also have experience working with depression, anxiety, and stress management.
If you are looking for someone who will be nonjudgmental and collaborative, I am here to listen and guide you through this process. Whether you’ve never been to therapy before or you need something new, we can explore your concerns together at your pace. I provide telehealth services only to those in the state of Michigan.
